Good Old Days...

The good old days... you always hear stories about the good old days, when cokes were a nickle or candy was a penny well I don't remember those days. I don't even remember a coke being less than fifty cents but this was me... in the good old days. I don't really know how old I was. The package the pic was in said 1990 but I look younger than 8. Oh what I wouldn't give to have that long blond hair again!
It's been a long couple of weeks here. Bryan and I have both been working a lot. Last weekend we both worked Saturday and then cleaned house almost all day Sunday. No more dog hair tumble weeds or spider wed attacks in the kitchen doorway. We got this carpet powder stuff that you sprinkle on then vacuum up, and even though we have hardwood floors we still have a couple large rugs and 1 bedroom with carpet where the dogs like to hang out. I highly recommend this stuff for anyone with dogs. Our house smells so tropically fresh now. It's made by Glade. We even put some under our couch cushions. Yes we vacuum the couch. I know we're weird. After all the cleaning we had a BBQ. Burgers and Brats, potato salad, macaroni salad, baked beans, onions lettuce tomato the works. Bryan grilled for us. He's a great griller.
I have begun to notice how much I miss my friends. We haven't gotten the chance to go to Hot Springs since early May to see anyone and I really miss everyone. Hopefully before long we will get to go down for a weekend and hang out. It seems like everyone is just so busy these days and then when they aren't busy they are exhausted from being so busy. When will it ever slow down? I wish work would pick up and life would slow down! If anyone can figure out how to make this happen please let me know!!!

  1. The BBQ sounded good. I love Brats - tried one for the first time at work on Monday. Cute picture. Green font hard to read girl, stick with the blue or red :)
